# Maths Challenge

Hi everyone

I’ve been working on a complicated maths problem and I would love for everyone to try it. It took 6 pages of working out to work it out myself and if it’s too hard just have a guess. I have checked it on a calculator and I don’t mind if you use a calculator as well!

**On Mr Grey’s farm there are 74 chickens.**

29 of them are brown

40 of them are red

5 of them are blue

**Blue chickens lay 228 eggs each per week**

**Red chickens lay 24 eggs each per week**

**Brown chickens lay 60 eggs each per week**

Mr Grey sells his eggs for $2.60 per dozen eggs (12)

**Here are the questions you need to answer,**

1.How much money do the blue chickens make for Mr Grey each week? And each year?

2.How much money do the brown chickens make for Mr Grey each week? And each year?

3.How much money do the red chickens make for Mr Grey each week? And each year?

4.How much money does Mr Grey earn in total each week? And each year? How much money does Mr Grey earn in 10 years?

Thanks everyone and

I hope you enjoy working out this maths problem

I will put the answer in the comments when every body has written an answer in the comments! If you have any questions write it in the comments. Thank you
