LITERACY GAMES

Spelling City This is a fabulous site as you can type in the words from M100/200 word lists and then learn them, use them in sentences and play games with these words. You can type in 5 words (recommended amount) by pressing enter after the third word. Some of the games are free – others you need to buy into the program. There’s enough free games however, to serve the purpose.

The only problem with these games is that they do not give the children very long to type in their spelling. You may need to sit with your child for some of the time. The children do enjoy playing the games however.

  1. We are fans of the Spellingcity games in our house. They make spelling extra fun. It would be interesting to find out more about the other site.
