  1. Recycle Reuse Reduce

    November 12, 2017 by lbonde

We have been talking about sustainability and ways we can help our planet.
Share your thoughts on what you have learnt as part of our Inquiry. What do you think people should remember?

We have written a poem which we presented at a kids conference. What do you think about our poem?

    OCEANS

    Deep, crystal clear water

    Endless

    Fluorescent colours shimmering

Superb animals gliding through shining seas

    Blue World

Dolphins twisting and turning, diving through the waves

    Mysterious Creatures

A rainbow of fish, hiding in delicate coral

    People’s underwater playground

    POLLUTION

    Trashed

    World’s largest dump

    Plastic destroying the sea

Clueless animals eating rubbish, choking, dying

    No life

    Toxic chemicals alarming!

Overwhelming plastic turning water into waste

    Oil spilling, spreading, killing

    Dangerous Deadly

    STOP

    Help Our Sea Creatures

    Save Our Oceans

  2. Poems Poems Poems

    September 5, 2017 by lbonde

We have written lots of great poems this term.  We have chosen our favourite ones to share.  Please comment on someone else’s poem.  Remember to give them some feedback about what they did well.  Think about what we have learnt about.  Images, rhyme, similes, metaphors, personification and building a picture using great verbs and adjectives.

Parents we would love you to comment on our poems as well.

  3. Create a POEM

    August 1, 2017 by lbonde

Look at this photo that I took.  Write three lines in the comments box that might be good for a poem about this idea.  Remember all of the things you know about free verse poems.  NO RULES

  5. Technology

    June 30, 2017 by lbonde

There are so many interesting devices that we can use today for entertainment and communication.  What is your favourite type of technology that you use and why?  What do you think life was like before computers, mobiles etc.?  Do you know what some of these things are?  What were they used for?

  6. Explorers

    May 23, 2017 by lbonde

We have been finding out about different explorers and their discoveries. We were really interested to find out that people used to think that the world was flat. We liked the wonder from Wonderopolis What is your quest? and we are going to be writing QUEST stories.  Wouldn’t it be great to be the first person to discover a new place? Where in the world would you like to explore and why?

Holidays are always lots of fun. We spent some time on the East Coast over Easter.  The dogs loved playing in the waves and the weather was warm.  What was the highlight of your holiday and why? What was the best place you visited?

  8. Athletics Carnival

    March 16, 2017 by lbonde

    Hello Everyone
We have just had our Athletics Carnival, which was a great experience, even though we were tired after two days.  I was thinking about which parts of it will be a memory that you keep for a long time.
Think about your senses.  (What did you Hear See  Think  Feel?)  Post a comment.

    Ms B
I remember a school athletics carnival that I went to in primary school.  I remember really feeling like I belonged when I was singing the house chant.   My house was called Leven (after the Leven River) and it was blue house.  Can anyone work out which town in Tasmania I went to school.

  9. Mars Would you go?

    March 6, 2017 by lbonde

Mars Mission (follow this link and watch the youtube clips)

I was listening to a podcast about a man called Josh Richardson who wanted to go to Mars as part of the Mars One Project.  The part that really got me wondering was the idea that it is one way mission and you would never return to earth.  Would any of you want to go when you were an adult?  Why?  Why not?  Do you think it is possible?
