Working with Watercolours

We studied Mount Wellington as part of our History work. First, we went outside to look at the mountain and then we used watercolour paints to copy from a photograph. We started by sketching the outline of the Mountain with pencil, then we used a big brush to cover the paper with a blue wash. After that we used smaller brushes to add the details of the foreground (the trees) the mid- ground (the Organ Pipes) and the background (the sky and the TV and radio antennas.)
